A simple, yet effective, ways to keep your back healthy and fit is to Sit properly

Sitting with your back rounded decreases the flow of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues in the back and weakens the discs and ligaments. A rounded back soon becomes an ill back.
Riding-like sitting is the ideal way to sit because the back is not rounded and the posture remains good.
When sitting in a car or a sofa use some sort of support, such as a small pillow, for your lower back to maintain the healthy curve in your spine.
A good posture decreases shoulder tension and vertebrae problems in the neck and shoulder area.
When sitting on an ordinary chair, sit on the front edge of the chair, on top of your sitting bones, spread your legs as far apart as you feel comfortable and tilt your hip forward to find a good and balanced posture.
Adjust the height of the table. Have support for elbows on both sides of your body (table, armrest or elbow rests).

Saddle chairs, just like any other furniture, are very different quality-wise. If you are not an expert it is difficult to tell the difference between quality saddle chairs and cheap copies by just hastily testing the chair or listening to the sales person. In a high-quality saddle chair the design does not press the buttocks, inner thighs, or genital area, the padding and upholstery are cool and not too soft, and the materials of the trunk, base and wheels are of quality.

Choosing the saddle chair

Salli Saddle Chairs come with a divided seat (Twin, SwingFit, Swing, MultiAdjuster, Professional) or with a solid seat (Classic). The latter is only recommended for women. All chairs are easily height-adjustable with a gas cylinder. MultiAdjuster has wider range of adjustments: also the width of the middle gap and the inclination of the seat can be adjusted. For normal office use for both genders, we mainly recommend Swing or Twin. SwingFit or MultiAdjuster are suitable for those who have time to adjust the chair correctly.

Of all the chair models, Professional is the most suitable, e.g. for laboratories, because of its cleaning possibilities (polyurethane cover or disinfectable leather).

The height of the chair can be easily adjusted by the gas cylinder of which three different lengths are available. We recommend the short gas cylinder for persons under 160 cm, the medium one for persons of 160–180 cm and the long one for those over 180 cm. If the chair will be used by several persons, we recommend the medium gas cylinder. The gas cylinder is available in black and chromium.

Each chair if made according to your own taste. All chairs come with the standard aluminium base and gas cylinder, either black or chrome, and 65 mm diameter castors.
