Surgical Systems is a family run business providing new and used equipment to the Dental, Medical and Veterinary Professions at realistic prices. We pride ourselves on our customer service and are happy to offer as much help as needed regardless of the query size.
We are a small family-owned and run business going into our 28th year. We are in the process of rebranding the business, this new website is part of many exciting changes along with our new logo.
2015 sees us expanding the product portfolio with new lines and brands coming on-board. In August we moved into our new premises in Gloucester which has given us ample space to continue growing.

Day One
D
avid Harvey qualified from The University of Glasgow as a Veterinary surgeon in 1979
and then went on to open three successful Veterinary Practices in 1985, 1987 and 1995.
Surgical Systems commenced in 1987, with David as Managing Director.
David’s knowledge of the medical world has allowed him to make Surgical Systems what it is today.
1993
Further Along the Line
It was a busy year for Surgical Systems. Six years after the business was formed David’s wife Karen, who had previously working for many years in Accountancy Practices, took over the management of Surgical Systems in 1993 and became Company Secretary.
2006
We Began to Grow
With Surgical Systems going from strength-to-strength David decided to sell the Practices to focus on expanding the business. This expansion meant the business would include not only Veterinary but Dental and Medical sectors as well.
David’s medical knowledge allowed him to do further research into new products allowing Surgical Systems to widen its range of quality products as well as offering invaluable advice from David’s experience within the Veterinary industry.
2015
29 Years Later
This year we saw the fastest expansion of the business to date with the acquisition of our new premises in Gloucester, as well as David and Karen’s daughter Laura joining Surgical Systems.
Laura attended Oxford Brookes University, graduating with a degree in Accounting and Finance; in 2014 she began her working life at an Accounting firm that specialises in the Hospitality sector. On leaving she joined the family business, Surgical Systems as Operations Director.
